Students will be eligible to the Louisiana State Barbers Examine when they have properly obtained the following:
Course Length: 10 – 12 months
Textbook: Milady’s Standard Professional Barbering
Grading Scale: 100-90=A; 89-80=B; 79-70=C; 69- 60=D; 59 < F
Students must be fiscal cleared and have a “C” average in order to be released to take the Louisiana State Barber Board Exam
STUDENT COURSE OUTLINE
For applicants who cancel enrollment or students who withdraw from enrollment a fair and equitable settlement will apply. Applicants not accepted by the school shall be refunded all monies paid to the school, with the exception of a non-refundable registration fee in the amount of $290.00.The student must submit a letter of withdrawal. If student (or in the case of student under legal age, his/her parent or guardian) cancels the enrollment in writing within three business days of signing the enrollment agreement, all monies collected by the school will be refunded, with the exception of the non-refundable registration fee, even if the student has begun classes. The "formal cancellation date" will be determined by the postmark on written notification; the date said notification is delivered to the school in person, or 30 days after the last day of attendance or the expiration date of an approved Leave of Absence.
If a student cancels the enrollment more than three business days after signing the contract but prior to starting classes, a refund of all monies paid to the school less the registration fee will be made. For students who enroll and begin classes, but withdraw prior to course completion (after three business days of signing the contract), he/she will receive a refund according to the time table listed below:
ENROLLED IN COURSE SHALL RECEIVE
Prior to starting class 100% of paid tuition
1st – 4th day of class 70% of paid tuition
5th – 10th day of class 40% of paid tuition
11th -14th day of class 30% of paid tuition
15th- over day of class 0% of paid tuition
Any monies due the applicant or student shall be refunded within 30 days of formal cancellation date as defined above. In the case of disabling illness or injury, death in the student's immediate family or other documented mitigating circumstances, a reasonable and fair refund settlement will be made. If permanently closed or no longer offering instruction after a student has enrolled, the school will provide a pro rata refund of tuition to the student. If the course is canceled subsequent to a student's enrollment, the school will either provide a full refund of all monies paid or completion of the course at a later time. The school does not participate in any teach-out plans with other institutions.
Students who withdraw or terminate prior to course completion are charged a cancellation or administrative fee of $150.00. This refund policy applies to tuition and fees charged in the enrollment agreement. Other miscellaneous charges the student may have incurred at the institution (EG: extra kit materials, books, products, unreturned school property, etc.) will be calculated separately at the time of withdrawal.
MONTHLY PAYMENT POLICY
Students who do not receive financial aid are required to follow the following payment schedule:
Registration in the amount of $290 and the first monthly payment in full before the first day of class. Monthly payments will be divided equally according to enrollment (full-time or part-time).
All monthly payments are due the on the dates listed on the students contract. Payments made after the due date are assessed a $25 late fee.
Non-payment after 30 days warrants dismissal.
Any student with payments more than 30 days past due will not be allowed to attend class.
